           It gives me great pleasure to be here today to
    officiate  this capping off ceremony  of  the  Faber
    Hotel,  Hanoi.   I would like to congratulate  Faber
    Group Berhad and its Vietnamese partner, VIMAS Joint
    Venture Co. Ltd. on this very special occasion.  The
    joint  efforts taken by Faber and VIMAS is beginning
    to show results.
    
    2.   To build an international class hotel in Hanoi,
    the  capital city of Socialist Republic of  Vietnam,
    is  a  smart  business move.  Rapid development  has
    taken  place in Vietnam over the past few years  and
    as  the  capital  city, Hanoi  is  the  hub  of  all
    business and leisure activities in this country.  As
    such  there  is  an intense demand for international
    class hotels here in Hanoi.
    
    3.    With the grandeur of the scenic Ho Tay and its
    beautiful  surroundings, I am confident  this  hotel
    will  be a rewarding business venture for Faber  and
    VIMAS  as  well  as  an important landmark  for  the
    people  in Hanoi.  I am most impressed by the beauty
    of this site and its surroundings.
    
    4.    This site also provides a pristine setting for
    a  comfortable  stay  as  well  as  being  in  close
    proximity to Hanoi city.
    
    5.   I am sure this soon-to-be international class 5-
    star  hotel  will not only meet the demands  of  the
    business  and foreign official visitors  to  Vietnam
    but  will  also  meet  the demands  of  the  leisure
    travellers from all over the world.     
    
    6.    I  now  have  the pleasure  to  officiate  the
    commencement   of  superstructure   works   for   an
    international class 5-star hotel here in Hanoi.
